Task 1:

Watch this video and then answer the following questions:

1.    Who is William Hall? Why is it significant to mention him in this video?

Ans: He is the first Canadian sailor, the first Nova Scotian and the first black who receive the Victoria cross.  

2.    Who was the first person to edit a newspaper in North America? 

Ans: Marry ann shadd cary was the first woman of African descent to edit a news paper .

3.    Find the meaning of the following words and then put them in sentences of your own:

a.     Contribution   :African to make a contribution to many aspects of Canadian life.

b.    Aspects : The first aspect of biosafty studied is food safty.

c.     Heritage: English heritage produce a free guide for the visitors.                                         

d.    Ethnic: Background Minority ethnic groups experience greater disadvantage in the labor market .                                                                                                                                                                         e.     Diverse Islam is diverse, with internal differences, and is not a monolithic bloc.

February is Black History Month to celebrate the identity and accomplishments of one of Canada's largest ethnic groups. Watch this second video and write what you think about it; don't exceed 50 words.

 Black history month is a day to celebrate the identify and accomplishment of one Canada's largest ethnic groups.I think its not fair with other largest ethnic groups. Many others ethnic people are helping Canada for progress.They have a lot of contribution in the Canadian progress.Government should  give accomplishment to these people.
